Lean-Agile Training
Why Lean-Agile?
The wonderful thing about lean-agile is that, unlike some development methods, it doesn't approach problems with a set of prescribed, out-of-the-box techniques.

Instead, lean-agile provides you with a set of fundamental principles that, once understood and with a little guidance and experience, you can apply to understand what's going on in your business and to improve almost any situation.

Do you want to be given a fish, or do you want to learn how to fish? This is what it comes down to. Engaging your team in this one-day introduction to lean-agile is a great way to get started.

About the Class
This class is equal parts information delivery and workshop. We use experiential learning as much as possible to unlock dormant knowledge and give a you a framework to understand some things you've probably experienced before but might not have had the right language to talk about.

We'll start by covering principles and practices, and we'll apply them to your business context.
We'll discuss and map your key value streams, and we'll talk about your current challenges in terms of lean-agile principles and practices. And we'll close things out by discussing practical ways to implement these new practices, based on what you've learned and where it makes sense to start.

You and your team will come away with actionable insights that you can start applying right away.
Lean-Agile Mindset
The mindset of a lean-agile practitioner is a growth mindset. The focus is on transparency, honest discussion, teamwork, and above all else, consistent improvement. All in service of delivering better outcomes for your customers and for your business.

Aligning to Value Streams
In lean-agile, we align people and teams to how value is delivered to your customers. These are called value streams. Mapping value streams, understanding where you have bottlenecks and misalignments, and where things could be better is an important step in deciding how to make things better.

Better Ways of Working
Once you understand the principles and practices of lean-agile and you understand your value streams, you're ready to start improving how you work. Whether you decide to take incremental steps or make an immediate wholesale change of how you get work done, I can guide you on your path forward and make sure you're set up for success.
